Description
AI generated. Tap Assembly is a standalone browser drum performance recorder built around played events.
Perform eight original synthesized voices with pointer velocity or computer keys. Record timing and velocity against the audio clock, overdub another take, undo snapshots and edit individual hits on a timeline. No microphone recording is used.
Apply quantization strength and swing, shape each voice, load three original kits and grooves, then export a session, a synthesized WAV loop or paired channel 10 MIDI events. A soft output stage controls dense layers.

Dependencies and ongoing costs
No third party libraries, paid APIs or required services. A current Web Audio capable browser is required. Optional static hosting can be free.
Known limitations
AI generated standalone browser instrument. Recording stores pad events, not microphone or audio samples. Sessions are limited to 512 hits and loops of 4, 8 or 16 quarter note beats. Undo retains eight snapshots in memory only. Quantization affects captured timing and explicit Apply timing changes existing hits. MIDI merges identical pitch hits on one tick and uses short note gates before retriggers. Exports use the current kit rather than recording a live audio performance. Hosted file operations may be restricted. MIDI exports timing, velocity and note mappings, not the synthesized timbre settings.
