Chord Survey

AI generated MIDI harmony inspection tool with weighted pitch classes, ranked key hints and editable chord candidates.

Screenshots

Screenshots supplied by the seller.

Description

AI generated. Chord Survey examines the notes in a Standard MIDI File and proposes harmony labels for fixed beat windows. Inspect duration weighted pitch classes, three chord candidates per window and ranked major or minor key hints.

Select a note track, choose window length and decide whether velocity affects weighting. Correct the root or chord quality of each window before auditioning or exporting a simplified harmony track. Three original MIDI examples illustrate clear, colored and ambiguous cases.

Export the edited chord reduction as MIDI, a harmonic window CSV or an analysis JSON. Key and chord scores are transparent heuristic fits, not authoritative music theory judgments or probabilities.

Known limitations

Standalone browser MIDI analysis tool. Format 0 or 1, PPQ only, up to 2 MB, 32 tracks, 2048 notes and 20000 events. SysEx, SMPTE timing, unmatched notes and unsupported system events are rejected. Percussion channel 10 is excluded. Windows use quarter beats rather than meter aware bars and stop at 128 windows. Key and chord fits can be ambiguous. Reduction MIDI contains new close position chords and retains tempo and meter metadata, not original performance controls or voicings. Preview is limited to the first 30 seconds.
